Well worth the drive! We just got back from an excellent week-long trip in the BWCA. We've used Seagull Outfitters for canoe rentals on four out of five trips in the past 10 years, and every time has been smooth sailing. The friendly and responsive staff really makes all the difference. The facilities are well-kept, organized, and clean. Truly a remarkable place!

It is a really nice place with great staff. They all take the time to make sure you have the best trip possible. They help you load and unload your luggage, they tell you where the good fishing spots are, they tell you places that you should visit, and they do a lot for your satisfaction. I know that if I go to that area of quetico or the boundary waters when I grow up I will definitely have seagull outfitters as one of my first options.
One year after getting 3 inches of rain in less than a half hour while we were paddling in from our 5 day trip, they were waiting at the dock with dry towels for us.

We came up for a 13-day Quetico trip, Seagull Outfitters rented us an 18.5 Souris River Quetico canoe (hands down the best tripping canoe I ever paddled). The staff greeted us warmly and took time and care to give us great advice and friendly suggestions on route, fishing spots, etc. Even though the office and store are sometimes busy, you'll feel like you get individual attention. The shuttle up to Cache Bay was a great service, again the staff were friendly, helpful, and punctual. If you are planning a canoe adventure from the Gunflint Trail, put Seagull Outfitters at the top of your list!
We have used Seagull Outfitters many times. They have always been very helpful and friendly even when making multiple changes to our reservation. Their canoes have always been in very good shape.
This was the 2nd time I've used Seagull and I won't even consider using another outfitter next time I return to the Gunflint!
