My wife and I loved this place, we got to do as much hiking as our hearts desired and also relaxed in complete seclusion. The tall pines yurt comes with all dishes needed to cook any meal, and there are also games. The firewood is close and there is plenty to keep you warm, and also an outhouse and sauna in the same area. The hosts were very accommodating and were a big help with our gear and hiking suggestions. I will stay at this place again!

Beautiful cabin, the sauna was amazing! My husband and I spent our 3rd anniversary in Ollie's Cabin over the weekend. It's about 50 minutes from the main city along beautiful, wooded mountain roads (I'm a city girl, so they were mountains, not hills). We enjoyed the seclusion and the accessibility to Grand Marais proper; it was the perfect balance for us. Barbara and Ted were wonderful hosts, they were very friendly and fun to visit with. Swapping stories with them was one of the highlights of the trip for me! I would absolutely go back for another weekend getaway! Even though it was chilly and there was still snow on the ground, we did not lack for things to do, and that fireplace was to die for. 10/10 would recommend ^_^
We stayed at the Ollie room in the B&B, the room had a great whirlpool tub and a common area with a fireplace, they also have wifi. It was very moderately priced! The couple who runs it are very welcoming and nice. We will be back!
Pleasant helpful owners. She set us up with canoe and paddles maps and directions. Beautiful area. Don't miss the yurt. I'll go back to ski in winter.
