Went for brunch with my wedding party the morning after the big day with my wife. Was very, very impressed with the service, food, and incredible location. The great hall is unmatchable in both decor and location. Would recommend to anyone in the area. Try the smoked salmon if they have it again!
I had lunch at Naniboujou around Sept 11. The club sandwich and raspberry-cranberry sorbet were amazing. We walked around to lodge, because we plan to stay there next spring. It is old and lovely. The dining room has beautiful old art deco decor and an amazing huge stone fireplace, where they actually have fires. There is a large deck with seating off of the second floor. In an enclosed alcove, there are two telescopes set up for viewing through the window. The grounds are spacious, and the beach is fantastic. The Brule River enters Lake Superior there, and it is very pretty.
Went there for breakfast. Waited about 40 minutes to be seated. During that time at least two parties who checked in after us were seated before us. Once seated we waited over 20 minutes and the waitress never came to our table. The final straw was when the two tables that were seated after us got to place their order first. I heard good reviews of this place but unless you want to wait all day for service, go somewhere else.
It is always a pleasure to eat and stay here. The lodge and surrounding area are magical. It is my favorite place to relax, unplug and recharge. Rooms are sparkling clean (and always spare, but you will sleep well). The solarium is the epitome of hygge. The meals always are delicious. I have a hard time coming up with any negative feedback. Naniboujou lodge is always exactly the same and I hope it never changes!
Stayed here while ago i Cant pronounce the name but its fantastic place. Even Trump would called it sensational ! Great state park nearby is wonderful nature.
We took a lanch on superior perfect weather.
