If you want to get away from the bustle of the city and want to experience complete serenity for a few days, then definitely make a reservation at Poplar Haus. Sip morning coffee lakeside, walk the trails of Grand Marais, and sip whiskey by the fireside while you stare up at the millions of stars you miss out on living in the city. This place is absolutely perfect. The heart and should that is going into this place cannot be bottled up and sold, you have to experience it.
A big shout out to Kippy, Lynse, Bryan & Stacey- Make sure you speak with them. Their recommendations enriched our trip and helped us spot some amazing wildlife which included bears, moose, fox & a ton of chipmunks!
Wonderful hospitality, perfect, stocked cabins, canoes, lawn games, beautiful views. The liquor store was a nice bonus as was the deck party with yummy pizzas and the Freubano sandwich was delicious! We had everything we needed except more time!
The restaurant hadn't opened up when we visited but from the sounds of it, it's going to be a place you don't want to miss!
My husband and I are already booking our next stay, because less than 2 weeks ago we had the best getaway of all time at Poplar Haus. It's beautiful and laid back.... everything about the place was PERFECT.
This was our first time at the Boundary Waters and I'm so glad we stayed here. We were the first campers here after the new owners purchased this property. The campgrounds were very well kept and were adjacent to the lake.
