We went to Skyport last Friday for the first time and were so impressed we ended up going there Sunday and Monday! I called before we went because I had a couple questions on the menu, the lady was so nice and patient when answering my questions, I knew we had to go there. The service is great, Rose and Rachelle made us feel right at home - they even gave me a hug when I left! The food is amazing - from the mozzarella sticks, to the burgers, and especially the "Beyond Burger" that's vegetarian friendly and super tasty. I will definitely be back. Thank you!
Ehh...I had higher expectations. For example, the beer cheese soup had unmelted chucks of cheese. Once we got our food, it took a while for the sever to come back and check on us so I had to bring my glass to the bar to get a refill on a slow week night. Nice people, ok food.
Great atmosphere here. Family run small resort, full bar and top notch restaurant on site and fantastic staff. Close to town and just off the Gunflint trail. Stay here, and you don't have to worry about a drive anywhere else. Even have pontoon boats, motor boats, canoes, paddle boards, tandem kayaks, and they will even hook you up with a rod and feel! Seriously why go anywhere else?
Mt Brother & I drove down for lunch today and honestly could not be happier. The resteraunt was full of snomwmobilers and other guests with families, the service was very fast and friendly and the food was very good. I would highly recommend Skyport Lodge and Raven Rock Grill as a destination either by car, boat in the summer, snowmobile in the winter and/or staying in one of the beautiful cabin rentals for the entire weekend!
Went to Raven Rock for food and have to say it wasn't half bad. Place got pretty busy by 630, service was pretty good but they seemed a bit overwhelmed. Decent selection of beer and food. Only negative thing was the high school kid who puked on the floor behind us (it was homecoming and he had clearly been drinking), took the staff a little bit to actually clean it up (maybe 5 min after the incident they finally got someone to clean it up). Overall I would recommend it!
