I don't do fudge, even though it looks luscious. But, if you're into fairies and dragons, the gift shop has the best selection I've seen anywhere, with really great prices!!
The fudge at Beth's was fresh and beyond delicious. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and are not selling you inferior/old product. There is quite a variety also. It's expensive, but worth it. Not sure if it was fresh just because the tourist season was starting and it was just made and hadn't been sitting there, though.

So there was more than one thing that shouldn't have happened when we stopped in. The lady cutting the fudge was real irritated when I POLITELY asked her if she could use a clean knife to cut the fudge due to a serious peanut allergy (sorry lady, I didn't feel like using my epi-pen when my throat closed up). Apparently it's hard work having to wash an extra knife? Also, the fudge was dry and crumbling. Perhaps they should replace old, dry fudge instead of trying to profit off of every last piece. Oh and there were flies sitting on fudge and the lady wasn't wearing gloves and while she placed tissue paper on the one side of fudge to pick it up, her hand was all over the other side of the fudge. Won't be giving them our money anymore.
As for the rest of the store, there are many curiosities and collectibles for just about any taste. I've never been to such a great store that's a tourist spot since stopping at Wall Drug in SD (if you've had their fudge, you know what I'm talking about). It's not nearly as big as Wall Drug, but it sure has a variety.
This is a fun place and an always-visit stop for us. The fudge smells wonderful and there is a nice selection of gifts!
